I hope all of you mothers had a very happy Mother’s Day! It is always such a special day to spend with my boys, kissing and cuddling them and reflecting on how thankful I am to be their Mommy!
My little boys are so sweet and so funny! They are so obsessed with cars, trucks, any type of construction equipment, school buses {you get the picture}. Anytime we are in the car and they see any of those things, they nearly go into a frenzy pointing it out to you until you acknowledge what they have seen and how cool it is! Of course they also love any type of ball and all sports activities. We recently got them a pint-sized basketball goal and they constantly want to go outside and play “baske-wat-ball”. Lawn care equipment is another favorite of theirs and they love to watch daddy use the lawnmower. They will stand at their playroom windows which look into the backyard and watch him mow the lawn.
While they are certainly all boy, they are still so sweet to their Mommy. Right after naptime is when they are the most cuddly. They have really become attached to their little lovies. Ben calls his puppy and McLean calls his foobie {we have no idea where this came from} he also has another bear that he calls Cecil, I don’t know where he comes up with these things, but I think he is going to be my creative child.
Ben is our wild child recently. He will pretty much do the opposite of what you tell him and he can be quite defiant. My parents tell me that I was like that, so I guess this is payback. He is never serious though and is always making all of us laugh, McLean laughs so hard at Ben all of the time and that always brings a smile to my face.
Since I am usually the one behind the camera, Gene took a turn and snapped some pictures of me and the boys this weekend. I’m pretty sure the boys don’t really understand what is going to happen in a couple of months, but they definitely know that my belly is bigger. We have told them that they are going to have a baby sister and they constantly talk about “baby sissy”. They love to put their hands on my belly and feel her kick and give her kisses all of the time. We haven’t decided on a name yet, but it may not matter. They may call her Sissy for the rest of her life!
Bye Bye!
